The Developer For Helldivers 2 Stated That Players Still Have An Opportunity To Acquire The New Stratagem After Opting To Rescue The Youngsters, Yet Game Master Joel Asserts That Such A Chance Simply Doesn't Exist

Recently, players of the popular game Helldivers 2 have found themselves in a moment of celebration after choosing to rescue thousands of ailing children instead of likely easier and more rewarding options of liberating the planet Marfark or acquiring the new MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines Stratagem. However, with this praise-worthy accomplishment comes the impending challenge of taking on a daunting hurdle.

In the latest directive presented in Helldivers 2, players embodying the roles of heroic liberators faced a difficult moral decision. Their options were to descend into Vernen Wells to save the young patients of Super Citizen Anne's Hospital for Very Sick Children, a noble act devoid of materialistic rewards except for a moment of satisfaction and a peaceful sleep, or to liberate Marfark and gain a new weapon, the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines Stratagem.

This significant Order proved to be a genuine test of players' ethical determination. However, to everyone's surprise, the Helldivers 2 community rose to the challenge and came out victorious, opting for the moral high ground and choosing to save the children.

This decision didn't go unnoticed or unrewarded. Acknowledging the choice, Arrowhead, the creators of Helldivers 2, pledged to donate $4,311, which, amusingly, is an indirect reference to the term 'hell' and also symbolizes the number of young lives saved in the game, to a real-world charity named Save the Children. This charity aids children who have been affected by various disasters.

Highlighting the community's choice, Arrowhead COO Johan Pilestedt issued a statement on Twitter, applauding their efforts. Pilestedt said, "Since the @helldivers2 community opted to rescue the youngsters, @arrowheadgs is doing likewise. We've made a contribution to the aptly named Save the Children. Impressive work, Divers!"

While this piece of news could have ended on this high note, Pilestedt responded to a fan's question regarding the possibility of still achieving Marfark's liberation before the deadline of the Major Order. Surprisingly, the answer was positive. As Pilestedt conveyed, game master Joel mentioned, "If the community achieves both tasks, which may seem unlikely, they'll receive both rewards; a clear conscience and the new anti-tank mines."

Everyone, do you hear this? There lies an opportunity to have the best of both worlds. However, to accomplish this, it will necessitate significant effort and unity. With less than a day left for the current Major Order to conclude, and as of this morning, the liberation of Marfark hadn't progressed even a fraction of a percent. Sure, it may appear to be a tough climb. But knowing the Helldivers community's determination and diligence, I wouldn't put it past them to make another addition to their temperamental arsenal of explosive gadgets.
